Description: Mallodon dasytomus (hardwood stump borer). det. M. Merchant. Collected March 8 2019 from fallen hackberry (Celtis sp.) in Hunt Co. TX. Emerged indoors 8/19/2019.
Equipment/technique: Taken of live specimen with Canon EOS 5D Mark II, f/20, 100 mm macro. The only digital manipulation was slight lightening of shadows.
